Mechanical Engineering

Our mechanical engineering services are extensive and overseen by CPEng & RPEQ Engineers to ensure we deliver certified engineering design packages.

Our mechanical engineering capabilities include verification through simulation and finite element analysis, pressure piping system design, flow and flexibility analysis, design of mechanical equipment and associated steelwork, design of API 620 and API 650 storage tanks, pressure vessels, marine infrastructure, belt conveyors and transfer towers, cranes, davits and other lifting devices, platforms, stairways and landings.

Electrical Engineering

Systems including mechanical equipment and processes often utilize electrical energy and instrumentation to power, control and monitor their operation. EDMS’ electrical engineers are experienced in the design of these systems and allow EDMS to offer a one-stop service to our clients.

Our electrical engineering capabilities predominantly include low voltage power supply and reticulation design, electrical drive system and motor control design, load flow assessment, fault analysis, protection system design and coordination, arc flash evaluation, cable and transformer sizing, DC system analysis, battery sizing, DC load flow, DC short circuit analysis, process instrument section & integration and control system design & modification. We also offer a solar farm audit and certification service to meet the growing demand for industrial and commercial scale solar installations.

Detail Drafting

What differentiates EDMS Australia from other engineering consultancies is that we not only produce engineering drawings, but we also go that extra step to produce fully dimensioned workshop and manufacturing drawings complete with material lists, manufacturing specifications, inspection and testing requirements.

Our detail drafting capabilities include 2D and 3D CAD models, general arrangements and assemblies, detail fabrication, machining and installation drawings, plate developments and the production of DXF files for CNC\laser cutting.

Inspection

Our inspection services are carried out and managed by EDMS Australia’s engineers who are AICIP and API qualified and experienced to undertake in-service pressure equipment and above ground storage tank inspections, including pressure vessels and pressure piping, industrial boilers, air heaters, economizers, fuel tanks and process vessels.

Our scope of services also extends to mechanical and structural inspections including cranes, davits, lifting devices, concrete placing booms, elevated work platforms, mechanical steelwork and structures.

Terrestrial 3D Scanning

Using the latest technology in 3D terrestrial scanning we can capture an accurate, measurable point cloud of your work site allowing EDMS Australia to streamline 3D modelling and the detail design workflow. The 3D terrestrial scanning capability also provides the ability to import your design model into the scan to verify integration alignment and mitigate clashes.

Our 3D scanning scope includes marine infrastructure, ship hull and compartment spaces, industrial plants, civil infrastructure, As-built representations and surveys.

Additive Manufacturing
